 Homeless Services are provided on our campus on Church Street in Champaign, IL.   This program offers a two-year transitional housing program for homeless women and their children.  This program also includes children’s services, including the only imbedded Head Start Program in downstate Illinois..

  • Women approved for the transitional housing program are able to reside at The Center for up to two years with supportive services to enable them to build the necessary skills and resources to support self-sufficient living.

  • Our Children’s Case Manager provides children’s services and play groups for residents of The Center.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES for Homeless Services include:

Non-Direct Service:

  • Light clerical work
  • Organizing storage areas
  • Painting
  • Cleaning Projects
  • Outdoor Cleanup (raking leaves, weeding gardens, etc.)
  • Collecting Wish List Items

Direct Service

  • Children’s Activities
  • Group Facilitator
  • Transportation
  • Case Management Support
